I grew up in the midwest making sawdust in my dad’s woodshop where I developed a love for tools and learning how to use them — for better or worse.

I began my professional career as a middle school English teacher in Denver Colorado, but then committed to carpentry full-time in 2014 when I enrolled in a Journeyman carpentry apprenticeship in Portland, Oregon.

After working my way up through various construction and woodworking shops, I co-founded a successful custom carpentry and remodeling company working on old, unique homes of the Pacific Northwest.

Five years of running my business in Portland led to a growing desire to be closer to family and live a more rural life, so I moved to the Catskills in 2021 with my partner Kelsey and Australian cattle dog, Juni.

When I’m not obsessing over carpentry and tools, I love spending time outdoors — hiking, camping, fly fishing, hunting, and exploring the region.
